I am proud to announce that my poem “Kaleidoscope” has been included in this years poetry anthology by the Surrey Poet Laureateship, titled “Surrey Poetry 2025”.
I am very proud of this, as it is the first time one of my more serious poems has been published. I have published a poetry book, co-authored by my wife, called “The Sillyverse”. There is still quite a whimsical feeling to Kaleidoscope but it doesn’t have the silliness or jokes, as a lot of my other poems are filled with.
Kaleidoscope is actually edited down from a song of the same name I have written. I was worried it may not work without the extra lines and verses but it hasn’t suffered and stands on it’s own strongly.
If you would like to purchase a copy, please follow the link and be sure to let me know what you think of Kaleidoscope and how it made you feel.
A big thank you to my wife and daughter for helping me with the difficult task of choosing which poem to submit.
